About Chinese documents
Chinese documents come to us mainly from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore, using Simplified and Traditional Chinese characters.
Files from China often include notarial certificates and household registration (hukou) booklets. We translate every page, including stamps and annotations.

Frequent questions
Can you translate a Chinese birth certificate for IRCC?
Yes. We translate Chinese birth, marriage and other civil documents into English or French in the format IRCC requires, with the translator’s certification.
Do you also translate from English or French into Chinese?
Yes. We translate in both directions, for example Canadian diplomas, police certificates or powers of attorney needed in mainland China.
How do you handle names written in Simplified and Traditional Chinese characters?
We transliterate names to match the spelling in your passport or other identity documents, so every page of your file uses the same form.
How long does it take?
Most civil documents of one or two pages are ready in two to three business days. Express delivery within 24 hours is often possible; ask for it in your request.
Can I send a photo instead of the original?
For most uses, yes. A clear scan or photo of every page is enough to translate. Some authorities want the translation attached to a certified copy; we tell you before starting.
